Translation
More than just words: a thoughtful approach to translation
Professional translation is about understanding and sharing your message, and your content deserves to be just as compelling in English as it is in French.

My role goes far beyond simply converting one language into another. I analyse the source text, carry out the necessary research, and create a fluent and faithful version in English – always with your target readership in mind.

The result? A polished, natural English version that feels as if it were written from scratch.
A professional translation requires:
a detailed understanding of the source text, in its context,
precise terminology, specific to your sector,
a fair, natural and impactful style in English.
I translate a wide range of content, including:

-
Academic research papers
-
Press releases
-
Websites
-
Press articles (print and online)
-
Internal communications
-
Newsletters
-
Letters and emails
-
Brochures and leaflets
-
Presentations and reports
-
Training materials
-
Tourist guides, maps, menus…and much more!
The aim? A clear and compelling text that is perfectly suited to your English-speaking readership.
I work with all standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, suite Apple, Canva…), and use SDL Trados Studio and Termbase to ensure consistency across long-term projects.

Other Services

Revision

Ensuring clarity, consistency and quality

Revision is an in-depth process that comes after the translation. It involves checking the English translation against the original French to ensure it’s comprehensive, accurate, consistent, idiomatic and well written. Grammar, punctuation, tone, cultural nuances, and readability all come under the microscope.

Of course, I revise every one of my own translations, but I can also revise texts translated by someone else – another translator, a member of your team, or a previous provider.

Get in touch and we’ll work together to make sure your message comes across clearly and professionally.
Proofreading

The final quality check

Proofreading means reviewing the English text on its own, without the French source, to catch any lingering errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, or style. It’s the final polish before publication or delivery.

For extra peace of mind, I can arrange for a second pair of eyes – an experienced native English-speaking translator – to take care of this final step (additional fee applies).

I also offer proofreading for texts written directly in English, whether by you or someone else.
Copywriting

Original content in English, tailored to your audience.

Need content written directly in English, with no French source? I can help you communicate clearly with your English-speaking audience.

Whether it’s for a blog, a tourism brochure or website, a letter to a partner abroad or a full page of web content, I’ll work with you to define the tone, format and message, then create new content from scratch.

Just tell me what you need, and I’ll craft the text for you.
